The user utilization report shows the next availability date for users, following dynamic scheduling. Also shown (if not confidential) is which project the user is currently scheduled to be working on.
The scheduling engine lays out both active and planning projects or tasks in the user calendar, subject to time constraints, priority and any project dependencies. The first clear date beyond this is considered to be user availability. This will ignore any fixed or statically scheduled tasks beyond this date.
Availability can be one of the factors considered when allocating users to projects. The importance of availability can be specificed during project member selection, along with user locality and required skill sets.
